a world of color
We're offering more of our stylish furniture in more fantastic colors than ever before. That means you can customize your child's room with not just a mix of styles, but with more color choices and wood stain options than ever.
OUR FINISH OPTIONS
Color is a big part of what makes Young America so special, but it's not the only thing. We offer a wide range of options across our collections to help you find a look that is just right for you and your child. Look for these icons as a guide to understand exactly how each technique adds individual character.
Sand Thru
A technique used to make furniture appear slightly worn around the soft corners and wood drawer pulls. Tends to make a room feel very comfortable.
sometimes, the things you can't see
are the most important
There's more to the safety story from Young America. Children typically spend 85 percent of their time indoors, where the air may be two-to-five times more polluted than the outdoor air.
As a result, they face short and long-term health risks from the indoor air pollution caused by chemicals released from the everyday products in our homes, including other furnishings, electronics, appliances and cleaners. To ensure the safest environments for our children, all Young America cribs have been GREENGUARD Certified. Products which receive the GREENGUARD Children and SchoolsSM certified mark have been independently tested and meet the most rigorous chemical emissions standards in the world. To learn more about GREENGUARD Certification visit greenguard.org.
safety
Your assurance that Young America is the safest furniture you can buy for your child.
We know that when it comes to kids, you can't be too safe. That's why all our furniture features Young America's exclusive SafeT3™ design — three levels of safeguards for product and environmental safety that have been certified by an independent expert.
safety engineered
We've developed our own system of safety features that surpass even the most stringent mandatory or voluntary product safety guidelines.
safety built
Safety begins at home. All our furniture is made right here in our Robbinsville, North Carolina factory, which gives us an unparalleled level of quality control when it comes to building in safety.
safety certified
In addition to our own superior level of safety standards that meet or exceed those set by the Consumer Product Safety Commission and JPMA and ASTM, we've invited independent certification specifically on our cribs.
why buy Young America?
it's safe and smart.
Young America not only meets, but also exceeds all mandatory safety regulations set by the Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC). The next level of product safety guidelines are voluntary.
Groups such as the Juvenile Product Manufacturers Association (JPMA) and the American Society of Testing and Materials (ASTM) create voluntary standards to guide the furniture industry, which we also exceed. But Young America doesn't stop there. In fact, our company is actively involved with the CPSC and ASTM in helping to fight for increased regulation and to make those standards even more strict.
Then there's the third level of safety assurance; and this is where Young America leads the industry. Intertek, the leading independent third party certification lab for safety and design, helps us go beyond testing, inspecting and certifying products. We reduce risk by incorporating manufacturing principles and processes that ensure consistency and reliability.
We mitigate mistakes that can result in a quality or safety issue. Our work with Intertek has earned not only a reputation for value in our products, but an increased level of trust for the Young America brand. Our goal when it comes to safety is simple: We provide our customerswith confidence. So look for the “Intertek Check” when you're buying a crib for your child. You'll certainly find it here.
Young America is serious about product safety.
Young America cribs are tested to strict manufacturing safety standards-as all cribs should be. We go one step further, however, by checking design integrity with an independent testing provider.
Young America not only meets, but exceeds all CPSC and JPMA regulations as well as ASTM voluntary standards. We're moving one step further, creating our own branded set of safety standards surpassing even the most stringent mandatory or voluntary product safety guidelines. This ensures every Young America crib is the safest it can be for infants.
Heavy-duty metal guides slide smoothly, prevent warping and offer patented automatic stops preventing dangerous spills.
Hi-lock position raises the bed to accommodate underbed storage or sleep options. Or, select the Lo-lock position and add our PSR-0267 Pair Safety Rails to easily convert most twin and double beds to a transition bed.
Adjustable inserts allow for easy set-up in older homes where floors may not be exactly level.
Handy when underbed options are utilized, and bed rails are in Hi-lock position or a transition bed configuration. Each wood slat fastens with screws providing support without the need for a box spring or a bunkie board. Your mattress rests directly on the slat roll.
Taller cases feature our anti-tipping kit that can secure the backs of cases to the wall deterring dangerous tipping.
quality. one stands for trust.
the other for pride.

a history of excellence.
As Stanley Furniture Company's youth furniture line, Young America shares a commitment to superior craftsmanship, style and affordability.
Stanley Furniture dates back to 1924 when Thomas B. Stanley – a young dairy farmer – founded this company. Today associates carry on Thomas Stanley's vision of quality, American-made furniture.
While most youth furniture is built to last only until it's outgrown, Young America is built to fit. Built to last. Built to grow. It's designed to carry your child from crib to college with the style, selection and quality you've come to expect from one of the most respected American furniture companies.
Thomas Stanley's Legacy
Building Stanley Furniture Company was just one of Thomas Stanley's many accomplishments. He served as Speaker to the Virginia House of Delegates, became a United States Senator and was elected as Governor of Virginia.
our world. made better.
At Young America and Stanley Furniture, we strive to positively impact the lives and futures of our customers, associates, shareholders, partners and planet.
We view it as our responsibility as a global citizen. But a goal is nothing without a plan. So we have backed our intent with measurable, actionable strategies for social, environmental and community sustainability.
